Vice President of Real Estate

As Vice President of Real Estate, Mr. Kinney oversees operations for American Assets, Inc.'s more than 5.5 million square feet of retail, office and hospitality properties as well as 1,000 plus residential units.

Mr. Kinney is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day asset management and is charged with maintaining the high quality operations that is a hallmark of the Company. As a part of his day-to-day responsibilities, Mr. Kinney oversees all property issues including retail, office, hospitality and residential operations and marketing; common-area, tax and insurance issues; all with a focus of maximizing return on investment.

Prior to joining American Assets, he served 10 years as Vice President of Operations for Caruso Affiliated Holdings where he oversaw management and financial functions of over 3 million square feet of community and lifestyle retail, office, residential and industrial properties, including the popular The Grove in Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Kinney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
